Fresh Strawberry Milk Shake



A yummy and refreshing Strawberry Milkshake!

Milkshake of any kind is our family favorite.  My children love strawberries; somehow I am not a huge fan of these sour berries. But I like this gorgeous pink milkshake which is quick and easy to make and a treat for our eyes and stomach.

 
Ingredients:

Fresh Strawberries- 15 to 20

Chilled Milk - 500 ml

Whipping cream - 100 ml

Vanilla essence- 1 tsp

Sugar -4 tbsp
 

Method:

1.Wash the strawberries and remove the green leaves and chop them roughly into pieces.

2.Make a puree of strawberry adding sugar in a blender.

3. Check the sweetness and if needed add extra sugar.

4.Add milk and whipping cream to it and again blend well.

5.Divide the mixture among 4 glasses and garnish with the whole berries. Serve immediately.

6.Now chilled, creamy  refreshing Strawberry Milk Shake is ready!

Kashmiri Pulao



Kashmiri Pulao is famous for its unique taste, a little sweet, fruity and nutty dish; Loaded with the goodness of dry fruits, rich cream and some spices. This recipe which I wished to prepare for quite some time and which I managed to prepare this week.

Ingredients:
 For Rice :
Basmati rice – 1cup
Ghee-1 tspn
Sugar-1 tspn
Saffron strands – few (soaked in milk)
Water-1 and 1/2 cup
Milk-1 and 1/2 cup
Spices for Kashmiri Pulao
Cinnamon stick - half inch pieces - 2
Cloves - 3
Cardamom – 1
Bayleaves-2
Dry fruits for Kashmiri Pulao :
Ghee-1 tspn
Cashews, almonds, raisins, -1/2cup
Veggies & fruits:
Beans-1/2 cup
Carrot-1/2 cup
Green Peas - 1/2 cup
Cherries-1/4cup
Pomegranate seeds - 3 tbsps
seedless grapes - 1/2 cup
Dates-1/4 cup
Paneer-1/4 cup
 
Method:
1.Gently wash rice and soak in water for about 10-15 minutes.
2.Cook the mixed vegetables the peas, beans and carrot pieces in boiling water for 5-7 minsand keep aside.
3.In 2 tbsp of ghee, fry the cashew nuts,blanched almonds and raisins and paneer cubes for 2 mins under low heat and keep aside.
4. Heat ghee in a pan. Add cloves, cinnamon, cumin seeds, bay leaf and cardamoms. When the smell of the spices evolves, add soaked gradually and fry for 2 minutes..
5.When all of the rice has been added, Add the mixture of cream, milk, sugar and salt. Add half a cup of water. Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer till cooked.
6.In cooked rice add salt, depending upon taste. Then add thecooked  veggies, cashew nuts, rains,almonds and paneer.Stir for 4-5 mins. Turn off heat and transfer to a serving bowl.
7.Finally add the fresh fruits, half of the roasted cashews and raisins and mix well.

Black Forest Trifle



The Black Forest Trifle has the same component as Black Forest Cake. Homemade black forest trifle is a perfect for celebration... It is a quick dessert if you have everything in hand...The mounds of white, fluffy whipped cream, contrasted with shards of brown chocolate and bright red cherries all make a black forest cake a dreamy sight.




Ingredients:

Chocolate cake or Brownie

Cherry with syrup

Whipping Cream-1/4 cup

Vanilla Essence little

Sugar-1 tbsp

Chocolate chips- handful

Fresh Cherries to garnish
 

Method:

1. Cut the chocolate cake make into small pieces /cut with a cookie cutter according to base shape of your glass.

2. Whip the cream with sugar and vanilla extract till stiff peaks form.

3. Keep the cake pieces at the bottom of your glass.

4. Then place a spoonful of the cherries, along with some cherry juice, on top of the brownies

5. Place a large dollop of the whipped cream on top of the cherries.

6. Refrigerate for min 3 to 4 hours.
 

7. Before serving Garnish with Chocolate shavings or chocolate chips on top and decorate with cherry.

Fruit Chaat



This fruit chaat is a simple dessert with a blend of fruits, tossed with chaat masala and soaked in orange juice. It was a delicious way of eating a great variety of fresh, seasonal fruit. I saw this recipe in a magazine recently, and it looks too good and easy to try it out.



Ingredients:
Apple - 1 Peeled and cut into cubes
Orange -1 Remove the skin and cut each segment into half
Seedless Grape red or green - 1 cup cut into half
Pineapple -1/2 Peeled and diced
Banana - 1 Sliced
 (Can add any fruits like Guava,pomegranate seeds, papaya,Pear,Kiwi,Peach,Ripe and Sweet Mango . I always keep the oranges and bananas, as they add a lot of color and texture to the dish.)
 
Dressing :
Mint Leaves - few Chopped
Lemon juice /orange Juice- 2 tbsp
Black Salt - 1 tsp
Chaat Masala - 1/2 tbsp
Pepper powder - 1/4 tbsp
Salt - 1/2 tbsp
Sugar - 1 tbsp
Method :
In wide bowl add all the fruits and mix well. On the top add dressing ingredients mix well. Chill it about 10to 15 mins. serve cold.
