Eggless Apple Almond Cake

This Apple Almond Cake is an interesting and simple cake recipe made from fresh cut apples, apple sauce and topped up with almond nuts. The cake also contains cinnamon flavor that balances well with apple and almonds. The cake tastes amazing. It is moist, buttery, and nutty. The Almonds on the top give a nice crunch to the moist cake. This cake is not overly sweet. It makes the perfect treat for afternoon tea or coffee ! Everybody just loves the soft, moist texture of theApple almond cake combined with the crisp, nutty crumble topping.



Ingredients:

Apple Sauce:APPLE ( Peeled & Grated ) - 1/2 Cup

Sugar - 1/4 Cup

BrownSugar - 1/3 Cup

Milk - 3/4 Cup

Cake Batter:

APPLE SAUCE

Maida- 1 Cup

Baking powder - 1tsp

Baking Soda- 1/2tsp

Cinnoman, Nutmug Powder - 1/4 tsp ( optional)

MILK - 1/4 Cup

Apple slices -½ cup

Silvered almonds -few

 

Method:-

1.Pre Heat the oven to 180 Deg Grease the cake pan.

2.Peel and core the apple. Make thin slices. Keep Aside.

3.In a large mixing bowl add 1 cups of all-purpose flour (maida), baking powder, baking soda, dash of cinnamon, nutmeg powder (optional). Stir all the dry ingredients.

4.Next, whisk together melted butter and sugar. Once the sugar mixture is light and fluffy, Then add the apple sauce until the mixture becomes light and fluffy.

5. Now, add half cup of milk in the buttery sauce mixture and stir well. Finally, add in the all  the dry ingredients and diced apple mix together until it combined to prepare the batter for the cake.

 

6.Pour the mixed batter into the prepared baking dish.  Next add slivered almond, sliced apples in the top of the batter.

 

7.Preheat the oven at 180 degrees celsius and bake the cake for 25  minutes depending on the oven. Check the cake by inserting a knife or skewer into it. If the knife/ skewer comes out clean without any crumbs stuck to it, the cake is ready.

8. When the cake is ready take it out of the oven and allow it to rest for 10 minutes.

 

9.Serve the Apple Almond Cake Recipe as a Tea Time Snack.Enjoy!

Apple Shaped Mithai

Apple Shaped Mithai

Apple Mithai is easy to make sweet. Diwali is on the corner and I am going to make apple mithai. Apple Mithai made from cashews but I used milk powder. This dessert made with milk powder in sugar syrup and with a hint of cardamom then shaped it into an apple and a clove is put on it. Then they are lightly coloured using red food colour. The process is quite easy does not need much attention These not only looks super adorable but With its attractive shape, shiny surface, smooth texture it taste so delicious that you cannot stop with just one. I decided to give it try. My family loved it.

 Ingredients:

Sugar – 1/2 cup

Water – 1/2 cup

Milk powder – 1.5 cup

Ghee – 1 or 2 tbsp

Soaked saffron strands

For garnish

Cloves

Red food colour

Pistachio



Method:

1. Heat pan then put sugar and add some water. Mix it well.

 2. Cook on low medium flame. Once the sugar melts into the water .Once the sugar dissolves, let the mixture boil till we get one string consistency of sugar syrup. Add cardamom powder once the mixture starts boiling.

3. Now reduce the heat and add milk powder in parts. Cook it for 5-6 min on low medium heat till the mixture becomes soft dough. Then add ghee and kesar milk into the mixture so the mixture will become softer.

 4. Switch off the flame and transfer the mixture into bowl and Let it cool down slightly.

 5. Make small balls, press it gently with the help of your finger and shape them like apple. Place cloves in the centre.

  6.Now in a small bowl mix red food colour in 2 tsp sugar water and with paint brush and give red shade to the apples.( You can also mix red food color with little water. but adding it with sugar syrup will give a glossy finish.)

7. Garnish with pistachios. Delicious apple mithai is ready to serve. Apple Mithai is ready to serve. Enjoy!!!

Eggless Apple Upside Down Cake

Apple Upside Down Cake is a refreshing dessert. The amount of caramel is just enough to bring out the sweetness and moisture of the apples.. It is really an amazing Eggless cake with a really good texture and the amount of sweetness is just perfect for our palate,and tastes delicious. I baked this for my guest .They loved it very much.

Ingredients:
Apples - 2 medium size
Sugar - 2 tbsp
Lemon Juice - 1/2 tsp
For Batter:
All Purpose Flour / Maida - 1 1/2 cup
Sugar - 1/2 cup
Baking Powder - 1 tsp
Baking soda-1/2 tsp
Milk - 1 cup
Vanilla Essence - 1 tsp
Lemon Juice - 2 tsp
For Caramel
 Brown Sugar-4tbsp
 Butter-2tbsp 

Method for Eggless apple Upside Down Cake
1.Wash apples dry it and peel them, core them, cut them into wedges.
2.Add 2 tblspn sugar and 1/2 tsp lemon juice over it and toss well. Set aside.

Caramel Preparation :
 1. Heat the pan, add brown sugar and butter. Mix well until sugar caramelizes.  Stir it constantly until you get golden brown syrup.
 2. Pour the syrup into a baking pan. Use fresh sliced apple and place it on top of the caramel and set aside.
 


Method;
1.Preheat oven to 180 degree C. Grease a baking pan with butter and set aside.
2.Take Maida, Baking Powder, Baking Soda together. Sieve it in a large  bowl.
3.Take a deep bowl or container and pour melted butter in it. Add sugar to it and beat well until smooth. Then add milk and mix for another 2 minutes.
4.To this mix add the sieved dry contents. Add the Vanilla essence and give it a good stir for a minute so that everything is uniformly mixed.
5.Gently pour the batter over the apple slices.  Bake it for30 to 35 mins. Check with tooth pick by inserting in the centre. The cake is done if toothpick comes out clean.
 6. Invert the cake onto your serving plateand allow it to cool before slicing.

7. Yummy apple upside down cake is ready to serve.
